I am a Premium Member and I love WRL and am excited for the upcoming Morse Mastery app but I digress.
I often get emailed e-QSL cards from other hams. I’d like to be able to do the same thing but I really don’t want to sign for yet another service.
Could customizable QSL cards be uploaded to WRL someday (as a premium feature) and sent out to operators on the other end of the QSO? I envision the signal reports, etc auto populating from the logged contact and there to be a field to add a brief personal note.
I see this doing a few things…a great convenience for WRL users who want this functionality (could be turned on or off), gets rid of the need to subscribe to yet ANOTHER service, and it exposes WRL to a wider segment of operators and hopefully grows the WRL user base which we all want.
YES! this is actually currently being worked on. I dont have a current timeline for this but its in the works. We will also have the ability to not only send digital QSL cards but (maybe not in v1, but in maybe v2 of this functionality) also send out physical QSL cards straight from WRL.
This is great news. I try to preach the WRL gospel to anyone who will listen. As a newer ham, it’s so refreshing to see something that looks like it wasn’t designed in 1998. Plus, I love the way you guys are always iterating and coming up with new ideas to implement. Glad to support you guys through my premium membership, 73.
I’ve created digital QSL Cards that I email to people who send me cards (usually via an online service). It would be nice to be able to upload a couple of digital cards, define areas where contact info would populate, and then send them out as needed.
