There are three park locations around me in Iowa County, IA and Benton County, IA! How can they be added as a POTA location because they are close to me and I like to work from those locations! Thanks

@KB0NRT Hey Martian,
We pull new parks from the pota site nightly. Are these new parks that have been added to the pota app? What are the park numbers?

No, these are not new parks! I am not sure about their numbers or to find out what they are?
One is Gateway Park in Marengo,Iowa County IA, the next is Hannen Lake, the county park of Benton County, IA and and Lake Iowa, the county park of Iowa County, IA
I would love to see Gateway park as a POTA location because it’s on the edge of my town with a shelter and bathroom!!!
How do I go about this?
Thanks,
Martin KB0NRT
@KB0NRT Hey Martin,
So looking at the pota app, those locations dont seem to be active pota parks. Any park that is a valid/active park we pull into WRL and you can then create a logbook and add the park location to do an activation. POTA usually only adds federal and state parks to the their list of parks though and not county parks, however with that said you could always reach out to them and request that they add a specific park but I’m not sure if they would based on their policies. That would be something you would need to speak with them about.
Here is a screen recording on how to find parks in your local area.
I hope this helps.

Thanks so much Brad!

Hi Martin, open a Parks On The Air helpdesk ticket by emailing help@parksontheair.com . I can give you a hand and answer any of your questions. I also noticed some parks not far from you I can share too that are already POTA parks.
