It seems intuitive to want to click on the frequency itself on the spotting page to engage cat control and change frequencies instead of having to click the little icon on the far right. Could that be implemented?

You should be able to just double click the frequency. Thats what I do.

Ah, I see double clicking does work! Unfortunately, I have lost cat control yet again. I love you guys and your software but your CAT control is going to kill me. 
For no reason, it just stopped working to control the radio. It will change the frequency in the software but not on the radio. The cat control app says it’s connected though it’s often hard to tell because nothing really changes on the screen when you click “Start Radio Connection”. It would be nice to have a continuous visual confirmation that the radio is in fact connected other than the temporary green “Radio is connected” banner that goes away. It tells me I’m connected but it won’t change the radio. I changed nothing on my radio between yesterday and today. I did deselect the MK2 profile and reselected it and chose the port and baud rate again but no joy. MacOS Sequoia 15.7.7.

@N3VD The mk2 profile is could& probably still a beta release in hamlib which could be part of the issue. If you are using the stand alone cat control app with the web app there is a green circle that shows up next to the freq label in the logbook when its connected.
If you aren’t using the desktop app you might try that as its a direct connection to the radio instead of having to deal with a web connection. In the desktop app, inside the logbook it will show "connected’ in green when the radio is connected

I see what I was missing now after a reboot and getting everything working again. I was not getting a consistent red “Stop Radio Connection” button even when I was connected and cat control was working. I rebooted and now it’s all working and I’m able to see that I’m connected with the red “Stop” button. I had previously tried the desktop app but it didn’t work either and it’s not as fast to use for me as the web app for all the other stuff so I deleted it.

CAT Control stopped working again on the web version. It tells me it’s connected but does not give me the red “STOP RADIO CONNECTION” button. I have double checked all my radio settings, rebooted the radio and the computer. I downloaded the desktop WRL app and it tells me it’s connected and will change frequencies in the app but will not do so on the radio. I’ve got no RF in the shack and ferrites on every single cable. I dunno how to make this work for me.
