HI All, this is Stuart VE9CF, I used to be very active in the POTA activation space, not so much anymore, still get out, but love hunting from home, POTA and WWFF. In addition, love working DX and contesting.

I have a YouTube channel dedicated to ham radio, [check it out here](https://www.youtube.com/@outnaboot?sub_confirmation=1).

Maybe question for a future video and testing messaging on this app.

You mentioned in a recent video Long path and short path communications, if I’m using a non directional antenna…

How do you tell the difference?
If you hear both paths is there a stereo effect with echo?

Thanks for all your efforts

That is a bit harder to do since you have no real directional capability. So, it would really be a guess and a bit of in-depth propagation. But really, it is just a guess. I will research it, but I know because if I turn my beam 180% opposite from the short path (most beam headers in QRZ etc are short path), if it gets louder, chances are, long path.

Just noticed that QRZ shows long path on some contacts.
