Group Nets

Having been involved with HAM Radio for many years , I have noticed the growing number of group nets, that are appearing as of lately. For example, in our area in South Central British Columbia, in a region known as the Okanagan, we have a small group of 2 m SSB enthusiasts. this small group has slowly been growing. Thanks to our weekly group net that we started putting together about four years ago. One of the missing pieces in ham Radio, would be a place where one could post while the net is going on, so others could see what Radio guys were checking in to the group Radio net. How cool would that be ? So in your local area , you could be monitoring, the local FM, SSB, a.m., or whatever net it is , and see what’s going on… It may be even check in yourself. Even better, would be a built-in alarm, that could prompt you, when the net was about to start. Just an idea, but I think it would be fantastic, to be able to see all the local Ham nets across North America and Beyond . VE7BEE
