Ic 7100 rig control issues

i am having a time trying to connect My IC7100 to work on WRL Cat Control. Ive tried all my ports for USB, say they are connected sucessful. But nothing absolutely happens.

need a hand please

@W7ATR Hey Andy,

Couple of questions, are you windows, mac or linux?

Try setting the baud rate to 9600 for the CI-V and the CI-V address of 88h and turn the transceive function off as well as the CI-V output to off as well.

Also check the following to make sure your radio settings are set to:

  • DATA MOD: Set to USB

  • ACC/USB Output Select: Set to AF

  • DATA: Set to On

If you are still having trouble try upping the baud rate to 19200 but 9600 should work better.

Let me know if you are still having trouble.

Thank you. Will let you know.

Wonder which of the 2 usb UART Ports

Guess I’ll switch back and forth

BINGO !!

but… no water fall or stations hear list???

WRL1 is my installed ap. WRL2 is the Web app
why does one have so little options compared to the WEB one ??

and finally WRL3 is the station screen connected to the xcvr other than signal what is the use of this thing?

@W7ATR Andy,

We are still building out the desktop app, it’s still very beta. It will have most of the features as the web app and most like some additional features the web app does not have. For FT8 the waterfall is available via wsjtx/jtdx currently and heard station lists can be added via integrating GridTracke with WSJTX/JTDX.

adding a waterfall would require a connection to a panadapter as that data isn’t available via regular cat control.
