@GW1TOM Hey Tom Welcome!!!
Yeah for sure! Drop some pics of the shack! Always like to see other ppl’s setups!
Welcome Tom, glad to have you join us. Your neck of the woods still eludes me; England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, etc. I hear stations once in a while but they never hear me trying to reach them from Arizona.
One of these days I’ll make it happen.
ps. My Welsh roots go back to four Jones brothers who came over in 1775, but my British ancestors started coming over in 1635.
Hey Brian. Thank you for the welcome. I’m not actually Welsh, I’m originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland. My wife is Welsh though, that’s why I’m here. I’ve been here in Wales nearly 20 years and love it. My roots are in the Scottish Highlands (Scott Clan) near the border with England. Basically I’m Irish/British with Scottish heritage living in Wales (very confusing)!!
I’m usually around in the evenings listening on 20m if you would like to set up a sked and hopefully we can make it happen. Just let me know where and when and I will be there.
Cheers for now
Tom
Thanks for the offer, I appreciate it, but I never know what conditions are going to be like on my end so I’ll just bide my time and it will happen one of these days/years. ![]()
For crying out loud, it took me 8 months to finally get a POTA park in Vermont a couple weeks ago, and now I’ve gotten Vermont 3-4 more times since then. Go figure!
I used to have some Irish DNA but as Ancestry continues to refine their algorithms things are constantly being added and dropped and now it’s primarily (55%) the UK minus Northern Ireland. Who knows what will be at the end of the year when they release the next update? ![]()
