Would it be possible to automatically upload contacts made on WRL to our QRZ log books? It would be really nice

This is actually is something weāve been discussing. Its definitely possible. Before coming to work for WRL I created a simple logging app for personal use that has this functionality and have brought it up to the team to see the best way to do this. Personally I keep my logs in the app but also upload them to QRZ and LOTW for awards and I think alot of other users do this as well. We have a meeting at the first of the week, Iāll bring it up again for a deeper discussion and how we can implement this, whether its - upload to qrz per qso or a button to push qsoās in bulk or what is the best way to handle the functionality.
We did just launch the QRZ Lookup functionality which is under the āIntegrationsā page. This is a step in the right direction 
Iāll update this thread once weāve had that conversation!

@KY4CQ Iāve got the code to do it, its just a matter of getting it implemented and figuring out the best way to handle it, like I said either via a button for bulk upload or automatically via a time interval. Weāll discuss it this week and see what the best way to approach it is. Thanks again for being apart of the community!

I kinda feel like the bulk upload is the way to go, just to be a good citizen with QRZ, but I donāt really know how they feel about it, or if they care!

@WD0OM iām honestly not sure if they do or not lol. I know i upload my contacts to QRZ just for a) record keeping and b) awards (the same way i do for LOTW).

Same here. No matter what Iām using for logging on a given day, I always upload to QRZ and LoTW; I also use QRZās feature to sync between LoTW and QRZ periodically, to pick up new confirmations from LoTW and sync them back out.
It would be nice if, eventually, WRL made it easy to at least do the initial sync with QRZ, LoTW, and maybe even POTA/SOTA/WWFF etc. Thatās a lot to ask, and itās possible not all of those services want to open up their API to allow it, but Iād love to be able to basically press an āIām done for the dayā button and have WRL magic the logs up where they need to go!

i completely agree. Iām working with the team to figure out the best way to go about it. Since QRZ already has a āsyncā function to LOTW. I think the easiest way to handle it would be to just do an upload (via a button or something) to QRZ which in turn would automatically sync to LOTW (as long as the user has the LOTW functionality enabled in their QRZ account). That would keep things synced between all three platforms i think.

I use the export adi feature of WRL and import to QRZ, I then āclean upā the import for the awards. I then filter for needing to send to LOTW for more confirmations and export directly and also re-import to QRZ for more awards.
If we could use the confirmations from QRZ and LOTW back into WRL, it would be a complete circle. The only reason I donāt re-import is not knowing if I re-import disqualify the contacts for the leader board and if they would count for the WRL awards.

@KJ5FWC That makes sense. The WRL awards only count for logged contacts on the platform and not for imported contacts. If youāve already logged those contacts via WRL, exported from WRL, imported to QRZ, then re-imported to WRL Iām almost positive it would not affect your awards in WRL since we arenāt pulling from imported contacts but donāt quote me on thatā¦yet. Iāll confirm and let you know for sure though

Did you ever āin your infinite free timeā get a response to importing the QSOās back from QRZ into WRL and any impact on confirmations/awards and such.
I would love to get everything synchronized as I have my WAS on both QRZ and LOTW.
Just something to add to your list of minor things!

So any imported contacts (into WRL) from outside of WRL donāt count towards the awards, only contacts made within WRL count towards the WRL awards. I hope this makes sense.
