Rapid fire QSO on FT8

Is there a way to setup a way to experience receiving rapid QSO on FT8? Like I want them coming in left and right. I do the normal CQ thing, was just wondering if there was an alternative.

@KR4NTE Hey Kyle,

Not that I know of, thats just a limitation of the FT8 sequence. FT4 is a bit quicker though. I mean i guess you could have two radios running at the same time, one connected to the web app + integrations app streaming contacts and another radio connected to the desktop app (with cat control and UDP streaming built in) and stream contacts into the same logbook.

Never done FT4, but definitely am interested. I have an Icom 7300 running an EFHW wire antenna. how does FT4 work?

ft8 is 15sec TX, FT4 is 7.5sec, And FT2 is half of FT4, but you have to load it into wsjtx somehow I haven’t personally tried it yet.

I have beeb trying FT2, but it seems dead. I haven’t made one contact in months. Ft4 is quieter than FT8 but still very doable. I run it alot. between the 2, I prolly had over 100 QSOs yesterday.

They have a FT2 now?!?!?!?!?!

If you have a flex you can do 2 different bands and then run odd and even. So you basically can do 4 contacts every cycle. That is they only way I know to get them that fast.

Do a contest! WW DIGI is this weekend and that will be all the FT8/FT4 you want. WRL here has a log for it.
