I just downloaded the beta rig control software . The Mac install appears fine but the Windows version claims is a missing DLL . Anyone else experiencing this ?. I am using Windows 11 Home Edition. I have another Windows PC that I could try it on but I am not sure this would solve the DLL issue . Thanks to WRL for the opportunity to test this beta .
It works now ! I booted the exe a little differently and it installed and connected to the FT-710 . However, now I have to learn how the rig control module speaks to my WRL logbook. In WRL logbook the band info does not contain any information from the rig .
I will try the FT450 next. My local club is doing a combined NYS QSO Party and POTA activation this on October 18 and I am suggesting we use the WRL as our logger. The club’s rig is a dusty FT-450D .
Are you using the cat control app with the web app (ie https://app.worldradioleague.com) ? If so you should just be able to go into your WRL logbook and click the spotting tab and double click any of the spots and it should tune your radio to that frequency as well as load the callsign information into the logging fields.
I hope this helps. let me know if for some reason this isn’t happening.
