Single Contact in Multiple Logbooks

I set up a primary logbook. Then I started contesting logbooks this weekend for BC and MN QSO Parties. I moved my logs from the primary logbook to the contesting logbook and they disappeared from the primary logbook. Is this normal? Is here a “copy” function? I’d like to have one “master” or “primary” logbook then individual logbooks for contesting or special event stations. Possible? Thanks.

As I understand it, yes, that is normal because having logs in two places would duplicate the number of contacts in the QSO Manager and throw off all your QSO numbers.

I have a log for each month, then a log for each contest and a log for each POTA activation and so forth. The QSO Manager is then the “master” log showing all of the contacts.

Thanks for the reply, makes sense and yes, I discovered QSO Manager is the “Master Log”. Still getting used to WRL.
