Split VARA Type Out

Hi guys, in the logging can you split “VARA” into “VARA HF,” “VARA FM,” and “VARA Satellite” so these can be easily exported to other softwares without having to add the type manually? This would be AWESOME, especially for the 10 of us that use VarAC hahaha.

I’m sure we can do that but believe it or not its a little tricky because technically vara (vara hf, vara fm, vara satellite, vara 1200, etc) is a sub mode of DYNAMIC. So we’ll have to make sure that if that mode is set that when we goto export it that we are setting the mode columns correctly per the ADIF standard. (ie set the mode to DYNAMIC and then have the ‘SUBMODE’ column show VARA HF, or VARA FM, etc. ). i hope this makes sense.

i’ll talk to the team about this though and add it as a feature request.

Hahaha! I getcha, that would be cool if it like opened another mini column to the right if you hover over / tap VARA. Thanks as always for the quick response Brad, hope you’re doing alright!

@KR4BOD Yeah for sure, we may end up doing something like that with a second “submode” drop down that only shows when you select certain parent modes
