Trouble hovering over the dots exporting adi file

When hovering over the three dots to export it says it created but doesn’t put it in a file

@KQ4VVW on the web app? Depending on the size of the logbook it can take a few seconds. You just hover over the three dots under the action menu then click the ‘Export ADIF’ or for a pota/sota/etc ‘Export Park-Ref’ (ie Export US-1234.ADI). Then, again, depending on the size of the logbook it could take a few seconds then it will pop up a save dialog box.

It will create then I get a notification it’s ready to download then I click download and errors out
It doesn’t answer me where to save it

Could be the operator running the mac!!!

Your thoughts

Thanks for your help here

@KQ4VVW Hey Andy,

It should just pop up the save dialog box right after you click the export button, you shouldn’t have to wait to click on the notifications. However with that said, if the download button inside the notifications isn’t working there might be something else going on, i’ll check on my mac and see if i can replicate but i’ll also reach out to the team and have them take a look.

@KQ4VVW Andy,

What browser are you using? I’m unable to replicate on my mac.

@KQ4VVW So i just tested this again with a default safari. If you don’t have your settings in safari set to ask you where to save the file then it auto downloads it it to the downloads folder. If you have safari settings set to ask you where to download the file then it will pop up a dialog box asking you where you want to save it.

This same thing happens with all other browsers as well; ie firefox, chrome, brave, etc.

The file is not showing up in my downloads or any folder I can find.
I will check the settings
What version of Mac operating are you using
I will check mine as well

Thanks Andy

I tried just logging into world radio league through the internet browser and it does work like a champ.

If I open the app I have downloaded on my Mac it does not work the same on mine for some reason.

Hang in there with me.

On the app loaded on my Mac you have to click the logs shown at the bottom. Open it, click the gear , output from there and it works that way as well.

However if you click community then go to log books and hover over the three dots it will export but won’t save it anywhere.

I’m trying. Thanks for your patience.
Again it does work correctly if I log in to the WRL via the internet.

@KQ4VVW both the web app and the mobile app are connected to the internet. I would use the web app if you are on a laptop. the mobile app is more geared towards mobile/remote operations (ie pota/sota/etc). it is less feature rich (although we have plans to change this in the future). but with that all said, i’ll have the team double check the export on the mobile app on a laptop.

Thank you so much for the help.
I am using this for pota as well as at home.
I would like to thank you all for the help. I am learning this and getting better as we go. I believe you have a good program here that I am sharing with my radio club.
Athens Radio Club is a good bunch and they have been a tremendous help to me as a new ham.

Thank you all again for the help.

Thanks and 73s

@KQ4VVW Yes, the web app has ALOT more features than the mobile app as the mobile app was initially created as an easy way to do pota/sota/wwff/etc activations and was originally not meant to be a fully featured logging experience like the web app (and soon to be released desktop app). However with that said, we are working on making the mobile app more feature rich.

@KQ4VVW Yes it will be an application you install just like any other software you install on your computer. It will work on windows, mac & linux.

Web side of WRL
