I would like to see the Linux Desktop app available as a Flatpak. I’m running Bazzite, which is an immutable Fedora Atomic distro. Rather than installing native .rpm packages, it leans heavily into Flatpak and Homebrew. I was able to get the software running by spinning up an Ubuntu container in Distrobox, installing the dependencies, and exporting the app to the host OS, but that’s just a lot of overhead and extra steps to maintain.

Would also like to see advanced serial options in the CAT control settings (specifically DTR/RTS line control or PTT method). If I select my Xiegu G90 and connect directly over serial, it pulls RTS/DTR high and locks the radio into transmit. Instead, I have to run `rigctld` manually in the background:

`rigctld -m 3073 -r /dev/ttyUSB0 -s 19200 -C dtr_state=OFF,rts_state=OFF -T 127.0.0.1 -t 4532`

and then set the radio in the app to ‘Hamlib NET rigctl’. Having toggles for DTR/RTS states or CAT-only PTT in the app would fix this.

Thanks,
Justin

Seconded. Or even an app image.

@KG5EHL @KC9NYY The desktop app has an appImage, which is what we recommend. However we’ll look at a flatpak

Thanks Brad, I’ll give the AppImage a try. Any thoughts re: the advanced options when configuring CAT Control? I can certainly continue just using rigctld + hamlib NET rigctl but would prefer to just be able to set dtr & rts state in the settings.
