Hi, I’m new to WRL and trying to get set up with the desktop app and cat control on Linux. When I connect cat control my G90 immediately starts transmitting. I’m using a DE19 interface. The cat Ctrl from wsjt-x works when running. Any idea how I can fix this? Mike GM4YMI ---

Hi Mike, thanks for letting us know! I have opened a bug report for you, we will take a look at this - that’s strange. I usually use an ICOM but I do have a G90 I haven’t ever used with the CAT control, I can give it a try and see what happens. P.S. - don’t hesitate to use the Report a Bug button in the app too, it gets to us quickly and creates a case for us. Thanks for your support as a Founding Member!! ---

@GM4YMI Hey Mike, So this is most likely just a radio config issue. While it may work with WSJTX, its just because of how WJSTX is connecting to the radio. So i’m not familiar with this radio but doing a quick google search on it and hamlib. It looks like you need to make sure you have your radio settings set to the following: **Radio Model** : Select **Icom IC-7100** (or obviously the G90 but users have had success with the 7100 model as the g90 is based off icom)\*\* Baud Rate\*\*: Set to **19200 Flow Control**: Disable CTS/RTS/DTR flow control (set to None) **VOX:** Ensure \*\*VOX is OFF Another search basically says the same thing: ### G90 CAT settings | Setting | Value | | --- | --- | | **Radio** | Xiegu G90 | | **CAT protocol** | Icom CI-V compatible | | **Baud rate** | **19200** | | **Data bits** | **8** | | **Stop bits** | **1** | | **Parity** | **None** | | **Flow control** | **None** | | **DTR** | Off | | **RTS** | Off | | **PTT** | CAT | | **Serial device** | Your G90 `/dev/ttyUSBx` or `/dev/ttyACMx` | Let me know if you are still having trouble. I suspect though its something to do with the ‘Flow Control’ as these transmit issues are almost always related to RTS/DTR settings ---

@k4AZE I can’t find how to check/set the CAT settings in the WRL CAT app (linux). Thats the settings I have for WSJT-X (except DTR is set High and RTS Low. VOX is off. I tried IC 7100 and get the same thing, stuck in Transmit. ---

@GM4YMI these are all settings in your radio not in the app, although we will be adding these settings to the app before too long. Updating these settings won’t change the functionality of it working with wsjtx ---

There is no way to change these settings on the G90 (other than VOX). ---

@GM4YMI there’s gotta be radio settings somewhere in the radio I would think. I’ve asked @N0WRL James to take a look when he gets a sec ---

Nope, no relevant settings on the radio. All the manual has is to make settings in the PC software.: ---

@GM4YMI interesting. i’ve got Andy and James checking their radios. We’ve had a few users with g90’s run cat control without any issues so i know its possible. ---

This works 🙂 `rigctld -m 3073 -r /dev/ttyUSB0 -s 19200 -C dtr_state=OFF,rts_state=OFF -T 127.0.0.1 -t 4532` and then set the radio in the app to ‘Hamlib NET rigctl’. From original post: Having toggles for DTR/RTS states or CAT-only PTT in the app would fix this. WSJT-X has the CAT PTT option set. ---

This is the thread where I documented my G90 setup.
