Born Again Ham!
After licensing in 1976 in Virginia as WB4UPA and being active for several years, I let my license lapse in 1995.
Then in 2022, after reading about SDR, it triggered a desire to get back into the hobby. You could I finally saw the light! I obtained my new call - KI5UXC - on April 15, 2022 as a General Class operator and in late August of 2023, I took and passed my Extra Class ticket. I am now a Top Tier Ham! Whoopee!
And I am having more fun in the hobby than ever.
Running an Icom IC-7610 into a MercuryAT and new MercuryIIIs Linear. And all sorts of goodies along the way. My, how the hobby and equipment has changed! NanaVNA, Waterfall displays, Spectrum Scopes, QRZ.com… The list goes on!
