I received my technician license in January 2025 and my general in February 2025. Currently working on the extra. Although I am new ham I grew up around radio and have always been interested but never had the time to seek the license. I retired a couple of years ago and decided it was time to pursue the license. I am also a member of Central Alabama Disaster Relief which is a group of volunteers that help remove debris and trees after a storm. I plan to utilize this ham hobby as we coordinate relief efforts after local storms. 73 everyone
