Licensed since December, 2024, I’m new to the HAM radio world but eager to explore all it has to offer. With an extensive technical background in computer sciences—spanning IT, networking, cybersecurity, AI/machine learning, software engineering, some electrical engineering, and many others others—I studied for the Technician, General, and Amateur Extra licenses simultaneously over roughly 30 days, paving the way for Amateur Extra being my first license. While I didn’t have prior experience with amateur radio, my technical foundation made the journey both challenging and rewarding.

While I’m a no-code Extra, I embrace the traditional HAM culture, carrying forward the values of respect, learning, and helping others whenever possible. I believe in supporting the art of amateur radio through positive behavior, encouragement, and fostering a welcoming environment for all operators. If Morse code were still a requirement, I would have taken pride in mastering it, as I deeply respect its role in the history and evolution of amateur radio.

Currently, I’ve started with some HTs using rat-tailed Signal Sticks (Yaesu FT-70D and the usual Chinese-made cheaper options) and will grow my station and capabilities in the near future. I foresee an Icom IC-7300 in the future.

Beyond radio, I’m an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, backpacking, camping, and fishing. I also love woodworking and take pride in building or repairing virtually anything and everything.

Looking forward to connecting on the air!
