Hi, I’m Andy (I go by my middle name). I’m excited to be part of the amateur radio community! I earned my Technician license in November 2024 and quickly upgraded to General in December 2024. As a newcomer to the world of amateur radio, I’m diving in headfirst and working hard to learn the basics and beyond—there’s so much to explore!

My rig is an FT-710 paired with a JPC-12 antenna. My interests include antenna building, making SSB contacts, experimenting with FT-8, and soaking up as much knowledge as possible about this fantastic hobby. My future goal is to learn CW and earn my amateur Extra ticket. I need to learn the basics first, so I’m always eager to connect with fellow operators and learn from their experiences.
