Hi there! I go by “Tess” cause if you knew me you’d know I’m no “Teresa”! I’m a former paramedic of 13 years and former cyber intelligence analyst for a large defense contractor. I retired at 54 in 2019 to live more of life and so glad I did! I cofounded an animal rescue in 2013 and volunteer each day as an abuse/neglect investigator, technical support, graphics designer, photographer, videographer and whatever else needs to be done. Like most hams, I’m a jack of all trades, master of none.

I play and write music on the piano as well as a little guitar. I’ve been learning Spanish for 3 years, anything but fluent, but learning new things is my happy place.

I’ve been gone from ham for 30+ years, let my license go, but happy to have passed my tech in March 2025 and general on April 11th.

Equipment: Hiegu G90, Icom 7300, a Nelson EFHW, MP1C Super Antenna for POTA.

I have plenty of excitement for the hobby that started with a CB radio when I was 11 years old. I still remember the excitement of shooting skip on that CB! Thanks to my dad, “Spitfire”, for encouraging an interest in radio.
