I enjoy HF, POTA, FT8, SSB, VHF/UHF, portable field operation, antennas, and practical radio gear that works in real-world conditions. I’m active from home and in the field, especially with Parks on the Air.

Current gear includes a Yaesu FT-710 AESS, Yaesu FTX-1 Optima, and QRP Labs QMX+. I also serve as Fire Police Captain with my local fire department, so public safety communications and emergency communications are a big part of my radio interests.
