I was first licensed in 1971 as WN4ZFA and shortly thereafter upgraded to General and became N4CRB.

Over the years, work took me off the air from time to time, but I have remained licensed continuously. Now that I’m retired, I’m back on the air, have upgraded to Amateur Extra, and am enjoying getting comfortable with all the newer technologies in amateur radio.

I enjoy SSB and CW, although Parkinson’s has limited my Morse sending somewhat. More recently, I’ve been getting up to speed with FT8 and exploring the 6-meter band. I enjoy experimenting with antennas and station equipment almost as much as I enjoy operating.

Although it may be a little old-fashioned, I still enjoy receiving QSL cards and appreciate anyone who takes the time to send one.

My home station is an Icom IC-7300 with an EFHW antenna. For POTA activations and mobile operation, I use an Icom IC-7100.
