I understand from @WP3C that you are in the process of setting up your own call database to make it easier to pull gridsquares (currently, DX gridsquares seldom auto-populate), and also some DX entities that may not be listed in your system (such as Easter Island). It would be really neat if, as you typed a callsign in, a dynamic list of similar callsigns in the database popped up underneath the entry box. It’s kind of a similar idea to super check partial, where, in case you can’t hear a station very well, you might be able to get the correct call more easily. Another option would be to have that kind of auto drop-down list anytime you enter an asterisk while typing in a call. That way, if there is a certain letter or letters that you can’t quite pull out, it would match what you do have and show all possible options from the database to fill in the asterisk. I understand that this kind of drop-down might get annoying to some people, so maybe it would be on a toggle in the settings so that you could turn it off. Not sure how simple this whole idea would be, but, just a thought.
