Have you reached out through your SWIC and looked at AUXCOMM resources under the CASM?

Hi Eric,
Thank you for the response!
Yes we are pursuing AUXCOMM. The first ever AUXCOMM course to be offered here in Maine. It’s being but on by Homeland Security. (CISA) We’ve been asking for the state to bring in a class for 5 years and finally it’s here in two weeks. I’m signed up along as is the COM-L at our EMA and others. Our EMA is very supportive and our team is growing. We are RACES, SHARES and AUXCOMM directed by the YCEMA.
Is your county supporting AUXCOMM?
Neil

Member5,

I am the former EMC for the county and a Texas Credentialed Instructor for COMU courses (COML, COMT, INTD, COMMEX, and AUXCOMM). I also sit on the Texas Peer Review Committee for credentialing.

The new EMC is ‘learning’ that hams are a valuable resource. I am still with the county. But was promoted to County Administration two years ago after over 11 years on staff and another four as a volunteer.
