Hi there - I just got my Technician and General a couple of weeks ago, without much in the way of prior knowledge or experience. I’m studying to take the extra in a few weeks. I recall my grandfather and a great uncle operating when I was young, but I presently don’t know anyone near me that is into amateur radio. I’m presently just using a Baofeng HT to listen on a few repeaters, and I live in a no-antenna HOA so I’m gonna have to research some stealth antenna builds before I invest in a Yaesu FT991A. 
I have a question about the logbook, before I invest time in it - can it be exported?

Absolutely! You can export or import ADIF files from the logbook. This will work for import to QRZ.com and LOTW!
