Hi there, I did an import of logs into my logbook called 2024 of around 180 logs, later I tried to import some more into the same logbook of 2024, but it just created another logbook of 2024, so I land up having two logbooks called 2024. Can you not import into the same working logbook?? What am I doing wrong?

Hello Rodger :wave:t3:

The team is already working on merging the logs, it should be ready soon

Importing of ADIF files doesn’t work from Linux, since only DOS line endings are supported. A painful workaround is to copy wsjtx_log.adi to a new file and the use unix2dos on the new file and upload that.

Hi Carl

Using LINUX you can’t import the ADIF?

Now we need export of specific QSOs. I think I’m seeing export, but only an entire logbook. I like to run a long logbook, adding from time to time. I also like to log on QRZ. I want to be able to export these last selected QSOs and upload to QRZ. Please!! I don’t want to double type every detail.

Hey Martin - thanks for this feature suggestion!! We hadn’t considered this feature yet, but this shouldn’t be a heavy left. We have probably 2 weeks left of bug fixes before we get back to the features, but we’ll add this one to our “QSO Manager” arc of work.

Quick followup - how will you know which QSOs you want to select from the logbook? Do you want to select from a given time range or some other criteria?

Time range could work. It would be easier I think if there was a way to click, or shift click to select QSOs. (Highlight or check boxes) If it had to be a time/date range typed in, that could work though.

I wasn’t thinking any other criteria, but I could see value of DX, or states, or other qualitative criteria. Not sure it would be as easy to do, or as frequent a goto for me though. Being able to click multiple would be my preferred. Thanks for the quick response.

Awesome Martin! This fits in nicely with a new feature we are adding for a “QSO Manager”. This will allow you to select QSOs within and across logbooks for different actions like like updating the location, deleting, and we’ll add exporting to that feature too!

I think we’re about 2-3 weeks out on that feature.

Is there a way to download our current contacts from other logs and can we upload to QRZ etc?

Thank you for the feedback!! Import/Export is coming soon - we have some basic features/functionality we have to finish up first, like ability to edit/delete contacts, user profile cleanup, etc. We will get there

Following on this. We understand that all great things takes time. Keep up the good work.

Thank you! We’ll keep you all posted once it’s on the roadmap. We’re still likely a few weeks out from this.

I’m really looking forward to this. I have downloaded, installed, and then deleted several loggers and returned to my clean Excel file. The interfaces are just not doing it for me. HAMRS is nice, but it’s more for POTA than a long-term and versatile log.

At any rate, thanks for identifying and meeting this need in the hobby.

Thanks so much Lance  the import and export features are coming soon. We’re setting a really aggressive roadmap with analytics on your log, more social features, offline features, etc. We’re just working on getting the right research and prioritization done so we can get them done right and in the right order!

You’re spot on about the interfaces. Our team here spans all ages from 18 to over 60. And all of us agree we want something that is easier, looks nicer, fully featured, and also has more interactive features like leaderboards, events, etc.

We’re having a ton of fun building it too and we’re going to keep the updates coming fast so buckle up!
