Integrated DX Cluster Page

This idea may not be feasible, I don’t know what sort of APIs are available, but an integrated DX Cluster spot page would be a FANTASTIC addition to WRL.

This has also been discussed, but I believe it is not added. I will add it as a feature request. Thanks

After thinking about this for awhile, I think it would work well from a user’s perspective to integrate the DX Cluster spots into the existing “Spotting” page with a toggle to turn them on or off. However, like I said, I don’t know how easy this will be from a development standpoint.

Thanks so much for this suggestion Andy! Are you thinking just adding more data sources to our spotting page? Which data sources would you like us to add?

Yeah! So, I don’t know what sources pages like DXSummit.fi and DXHeat | DXCluster & DX Research Tool pull from, but it appears to be a universal source. It would be great to add this to the spotting page, if the data is easily accessible.

I think that the most complete DX Cluster is DX Heat

Yeah this is a good shout. The long term goal is that enough people will be logging contacts on the site that we end up with our own DX Cluster. With the other thread, we’re definitely doing a pass at what spotting data sources are both easy to implement and useful to users.

Absolutely! And you already have that to a certain extent. However, an integration of other sources would make this a universal source for spots, and being so user friendly (some spotting pages are not) it may generate more usage based on that. It’s also pretty handy to have all spots and a logbook in one web tool, and soon, one Computer/Mobile application. Even better!
