I noticed that if you manually enter a contact it fills in the rest of the data, such as there name, state, etc.
If you use the spot tool and use the “copy to log” it doesn’t seem to do the lookup and fill in any of the fields. I tried going to the callsign field and tabbing to the next field thinking that would trigger it, but no luck.
This is the case in both live and beta.
@N3WS Good point. Using the copy feature is currently meant to simply copy the data already registered in the spot. What data needs to be auto-filled that is not yet?
Name and state would be useful. It’s nice to be able to say hi to someone by name, especially if you’ve worked before, but can’t remember their name off hand. Even though you are just copying the spot it’s nice to have that data in your log.
