Peachtree Road Race Help Wanted

Ham Radio Communicators Needed in the Atlanta Area!

The Peachtree Road Race (PTRR) team is looking for Ham Radio operators to help with course communications. You pretty much only need a handheld and the motivation.

The PTRR is on July 4, plan on working from around 5 am until Noon. You get a free t-shirt and the satisfaction of helping 60,000 runners enjoy the world’s largest 10K.

I’ll be there and I think James Cribbs (KN4NEH) is volunteering too. Please sign up at Register to volunteer with Atlanta Track Club via VolunteerLocal using the password “PRR24HAM”. Once you enter the password, you should see the ARES slot. Use this link to sign up as either an Amateur Radio Operator or a GMRS Radio Operator. Like last year, we successfully used GMRS operators inside Piedmont Park and will do so again this year.
