QSO Callsign History - Show Previous Contacts [IMPLEMENTED]

It would be great if, when I enter a callsign into the “Their Callsign” field, a little bar of text could pop up that says “Last Worked ” and another that says “Worked Times”. I think implementing this would be fairly simple, but I don’t know what database system you are using.

We have implemented this in DEV! This should be released in about 1 week

Thanks so much for this suggestion!! We’re working really hard on the POTA enhancements this month too.

I also realized that because of the markdown features of the chat, it didn’t show exactly what I was trying to say. This was the original post.

In other words it would show the date that operator was last worked, and how many times they had been worked before.

Here is a little sneak preview of what the feature will look like! Today we have distance, Azimuth, number of times worked, and last time worked:

Anything else you want us to add or any feedback? Let us know and we’ll work on it right away!

A question about this: Will it list all previous contacts with that operator if you click on the banner? If so, hopefully it would show it in some sort of overlay or popup, so as to preserve the log you are working on.

It’s actually all hover effects! You’ll see this in more detail once it’s released and I do my feature release video!

In regards to previous contacts, currently, the system only shows that a contact was made previously without displaying the frequency or band. This makes it difficult to distinguish between duplicates on the same band and valid contacts on different bands. For example, if I contact KK1ABC on 28.400 MHz and then again on 21.300 MHz, the system should indicate the different bands to confirm it’s not a duplicate. A feature that would provide a short list of previous contact frequencies/bands, would help distinguish a duplicate. This would enhance the logging experience.

** NOTE: I just noticed that this feature works on the web page. It does not work on the APP. At least on on the iOS version. **
