01.08.24 ADIF Import, Duplicate Detection, and Confirmed Contacts is LIVE!

Hello WRL members!

We’ve pushed out a feature update that adds a ton of new features to the World Radio League Logbook!

ADIF Import- You can now import ADIF logbook files into the World Radio League!

Duplicate Detection- Our logbook can now identify if a contact is a duplicate, and let you know! This adds more trust into the logbook statistics, and is a key feature for future updates like contesting!

Contact Confirmation- The logbook will now periodically check to see if you have any confirmed contacts, and give you a separate marker letting you know if your contact is confirmed!

All three of these new features work in tandem, now allowing you to import a logbook file, see if anyone else has confirmed your contacts, and see if you’ve accidentally imported the same contacts multiple times.

Thank you all for using the World Radio League!

What are the parameters to detect a duplicate? I accidentally tried to work a POTA station twice today as he wasn’t flagged as a duplicate. He’d change frequencies from the last time we spoke but not band. Should that not have been flagged as a duplicate?

Hey @WB0ICT thanks for letting us know!

Generally a duplicate is if the contact is in the same band/mode within 30 minutes or so.

However, for a POTA activation, we will look across the whole logbook. One thing to know though is for POTA, it’s not a duplicate if it is a different UTC day.

Maybe it was a different UTC day?

You can click Report a Bug and we can look into it for you if you want!
