Not sure if anyone has asked for this feature.
I have noticed one can acquire a log of log files. I would like to have a feature to archive the log files, basically, I only want to see a selected number of logs; is this possible?

Yes. You can “favorite” the ones you want to see and they will be the only ones shown. For instance, I favor the current month so only my May log will show.
You can click the star(s) or unclick the star(s) however you see fit and then click on the Favorites button to select / deselect just those logs.
Brian,
When I click the Star on the left side I am assuming that is how you favorite, I still see all the logs below it. All clicking the star does is keep that log at the top. What am I missing?

Hi Lisa,
see Brian’s first screen shot once again, there are two red arrows. The long one points to the “Favorites” button. When you enable and highlight it, it will only show the logs which have been marked with a star.

Besides of using the good old (no, actually, it’s quite new) “Favorites” trick, I also miss an option to send individual logbooks to an archive, which could be found in the top row, for example, next to the Activity Log.
I wonder how people manage their logs in case of contesting, POTA etc.
I create a new logbook for a POTA activation, and when done, I export the log to ADIF. After that, I rarely need to look into it again, so sending it to an archive folder would be nice to keep the list of logbooks clean.
OK i did not know I had to click the Visit Topic and it would take me to the site, so I did not see the pics, that was a big help
Thanks
Lisa
This was a great question. I was starting to wonder this myself. With all the operating activities and contest that would show up on WRL this would get busy. Favorites is a big help with this it seems. Will test when I get more in there. POTA activations would really get this filled up.
Worked the weekly SSB Activity Contest this past week from home station. Merged it with my main log. It did warn me about losing my standing on the leader board (something to that effect). Did it anyway. Did disappear from leader board. Wish that was not a thing. No reason to keep that separate log as I operated from home.
Could be a possible issue with dupes. If you work someone that day (same call, band, & mode). Then work them during SSB activity same day. Just thinking out loud though. Seems dupes is a big deal in the WRL system. I am fine with it and would just ignore. May be more I don’t understand at this point.

Yes, it should be a dupe, but… if you create a separate log just for your SSB contest activity that should eliminate the problem.
Something I have noticed, Yes you can click your favorites and it only shows those, but the next time you go to the logbook list you have to re-click the favorites again, the ones that are not your favorite’s don’t stay invisible, they keep coming back.
With an Archive feature you wont see all your old logs, they could be a separate folder.

I would agree that this would be a better solution in the long run.
