I’m building an arrow antenna from scratch and ran into a problem of trying to connect the coaxial cable to the arrow. Any suggestions on how to get the Coaxial cable to connect securely to an Aluminum arrow?

Which type of coax connector are you using? SO-239? BNC? Maybe something else?

I am using rg8x. So I tried soldering directly to the aluminum arrow but like normal it does not solder good. So I am just trying to figure out if there is another way to connect it.

An SO-239 Panel Mount connector might help you. Or you could put a crimp-on alligator clip or ring connector or something on the conductor and one on the shield.
