WRL is starting to get a lot of great features, and I think it’s a fantastic tool for logging. Are there any plans to expand it—and integrate—a lookup that links the callsign you enter in the log with whether you still need that country overall, or on the current band or mode? We have this feature in DX-Lab, and it provides a very good overview of which stations you should work if you’re chasing DXCC, for example. Today you get lookups for name, QTH, etc., but I’d like WRL to be a bit more DX-oriented. At the same time, it’s important that this lookup can be done directly from the logging window so you don’t have to go to another part of the program.
Yes! This is coming very soon, we have been working on additional dx dashboards and specific needed dxcc id’s, WAS, etc etc. Lots of good stuff going soon.
WRL is a fantastic product that deserves to become better known outside the US. There are many good logging programs on the market—such as DX-Lab—but what they have in common is that the setup to get them working well can be fiddly and difficult. WRL has an excellent user interface; it’s logical and has a very modern look and feel. I’m really looking forward to being able to use it even more in my DX work.
