Feedback Wanted - What type of analytics do you want to see?

Hey guys, we’re going to be releasing some new analytics features and we want to hear from you!

What type of analytics do you want to see about your QSOs? Share any examples too!

What we’re thinking:

  • High level information like number of QSOs by band/mode over different time frames
  • Country/DX Dashboard (DXCC), confirmed and non-confirmed
  • States Worked Dashboard (WAS), confirmed and non-confirmed
  • Continents worked dashboard, confirmed and non-confirmed

Let us know what you think, and we’ll try to work in your feedback to these new dashboards!

Maybe plot the last 6 months of progress on each of the award goals on a single line graph?

Some POTA stats would be nice. Like successful and unsuccessful activations, parks activated, POTA contacts made, etc. I know these are already on the POTA page, but incorporating them here would be great!

Plenty of filters. Filtering by time frame, band, mode, country, continent, etc. Would be a fantastic feature!

If I’m giving too many suggestions, tell me to be quiet!

A contacts-per-week/month line graph or bar chart would be nice.

This one’s a long shot: The ability to graph past solar conditions along with contacts at that time to visualize the effects of those conditions on your station’s ability to make contacts. Maybe graph a month at a time with the average solar conditions (SFI, A Index, K Index, Sunspot Number) and contacts, each listed as an individual line with a data point for each day. (Yes, I suppose I have a thing with line graphs.)

LOVE this suggestions!! I like the last one too, very creative - I haven’t seen that done well before. I think all the other features are definitely doable in version 1!

I’m sure some are like me and run different antennas. It would be cool if there could be a drop down that we can edit and put in the different antennas we are running when we put in a new qso. Then have a filter that can show stats for each antenna. Would be awesome to be able to test and see actual numbers and not have to manually track it.

Great ideas! There is already a way to add individual antennas and select between them with a drop-down menu during QSOs. I do like the stats/antenna idea a lot! @N0WRL, I just want to make sure you see this.

Yep, I did just see how I can add multiple antennas and it does a drop down.

You can see this using Ham clock if you have it and on most solar sites. I feel too much may impact the logging page it’s for> just throwing it out there.
