I have a few of suggestions for your consideration as follows:
On the home page you have the activity globe. Could you add a way to pull out this feature in high resolution to a separate page that could then be moved to an alternate monitor for display? Many of us have two or more monitors, and this would be a cool graphical function to have.
Could you give us a choice of page background colors. Currently everything is so dark, and it would be nice to have the option to lighten things up a bit.
WRL’s graphics and user interface feels more modern and updated compared to sites like WJST-X and GridTracker. Could you add a popout option for a high resolution Realtime mapping integration option for FT8/FT4 and POTA contacts to WRL? Something like GridTracker that pulls Realtime/Near Realtime data from WSJT-X and POTA for display?
Thanks for your suggestions! If I’m not mistaken, they’re already on the roadmap, but I’ll pass them along to our developers anyway. Thanks again!
First, I’m a brand-new Technician so I may not be using the correct terminology or the most knowledgeable on the subject. I have been using WSJT-X and GridTracker for making and tracking contacts to include POTA Hunting. My thought is with the much-improved WRL graphics and design if we could have a high resolution FT8/FT4 and POTA contact mapping representation option from within WRL that would be great! Of course, this would have to be linked to WJST-X for data I would think. Thanks for the consideration!
One more suggestion. How about a graphical representation (i.e. map) for the United States and also one of the world that is linked to our WRL logbooks that show which states countries we have contacted? I got this idea from the POTA website that has a list of US States you have made POTA contacts with to date. Thanks!
I always thought it would be a good idea to allow the people doing POTA/SOTA to upload a photo or several photos of their setup at the POTA/SOTA spots.
This one might be kinda nit-picky, but would it be possible to make hitting the “back” button (Android) navigate back to the last viewed comments page instead of to the Log page? I like to jump around the Community tab, but forget to click the back arrow to go back a page and, instead, hit my back button, which defaults to the logging tab.
