Hey WV hams, I have a curiosity question. How does being near or in the National Radio Quiet Zone impact your operating?
I went up for a tour a couple of years ago and it seems like they are strict, but when I reached out about a Parks on the Air activation there didn’t seem to be any concerns because of the frequency used. I’d love to hear some stories.
I know this post is quite old, but I’d like to hear what people have to say about it. I live about an hour 1 1/2 away from this site, so I’m really not to sure. Maybe this we revive the thread : )
I made the original post. I don’t have any new info. They are worried about VHF+, not so much HF if that helps. If a van with a lot of antennas shows up, you’ll get a better explanation.
