@W8CBG looks fantastic! What antenna(s) are you using?

Very sharp. Mind explaining your setup? Equipment, software, etc.
Thanks for sharing!
No software, I’m just running an external DVI monitor from my Yaesu FTDX10. It’s picky about what monitors and mice it will use, but once you’re there, you don’t have to poke about on the radio face nearly as much. It’s a lot easier on my aging eyes than trying to pick up lines on a small screen for sure! The 30 amp switching power supply is a generic sub-$100 Amazon special ’ SKY TOPPOWER STP1330’. It’ll do until I spring for a nice linear Astron. The external speaker works well, a Yaesu SP-30 to match the case of the DX10. I may spring for a baffle kit at some point. The waterfall and scope is somewhat different than what some folks are used to, but it’s my first HF radio, and I like it with these display settings. I have 50’ of generic LMR400 out to my Alpha Antenna HOA Buster (80m-10m). It has a balun/stub with an 8’ jumper that you just clip to your rain gutter! Basically it turns your gutter into an EFHW/random wire. And it works great - the DX10’s internal tuner tunes up well with it, and I have made a lot of contacts on 80, 40, and 20, with a few on 17. I can hear folks on 160m and 60m at times, but can’t tune it with my internal tuner to transmit (it’s not designed for those anyway). I haven’t yet successfully made any contacts on 10m with it, but my options are unfortunately limited in my HOA. The great thing is, you can use the stub to deploy an EFHW wire for POTA operations, no external tuner needed! I have a 60’ EFHW that I also purchased from Alpha Antenna that works well - we just did a SOTA outing using it last weekend on Campbell Hill in Bellefontaine, Ohio - the highest point in Ohio. It was a blast! I picked up some 10m and 6m Hamsticks and plan to give those a try at my next POTA outing - I take the DX10 and HOA Buster out for POTA with a 40MAh Bioenno in a Powerwerx portable power box. The DX10, mouse, and power cable fit nicely in an Apache 4900 case!
@W8CBG I saw someone commenting about your setup here and thought you might want to reply! Thanks for sharing the station pic! It looks great! WRL Facebook Post
Sweet station!
Looking forward to the next outing.

Looking forward to it too!
Thanks for the heads up - I’ve updated things a little further with headphones, mouse, and a chromebook set to log at WRL!
Nice! What model of headphones are you using?
Some relatively inexpensive OneOdio DJ headphones. They’re no Heils, but they do fine by me. I wanted a comfortable over-the-ears model and this fit the bill(and my budget) well. Great! Love the setup!
