Not so much a feature as an idea, admittedly a bit late for this year.
Jamboree on the AIr (JOTA) is an event held annually to try and get scouts interested in Ham radio and to make contacts with other scouts around the world. Unfortunately, like many aspects of Ham, it seems to be dying. I have heard almost nothing on the designated JOTA frequencies. That’s too bad as it is a missed opportunity to get younger folks involved.
Perhaps WRL could get behind JOTA, big time, in the future. Have a JOTA contest, have a JOTA spotter page, maybe even run a JOTA net.
