Let’s see your in-car mobile rigs!

I’m thinking about putting a mobile rig in my 2022 Tesla Model X. I do some long drives, and I like to be able to listen and scan repeaters while I drive. I want to have a very neat/clean installation, so would love to see photos of your setups!

Not a Tesla but it’s a pretty clean install. I have since moved the two radio heads closer together.

Nice.

I just finished (Thank God before winter) on my IC-7100 with color waterfall and cat sdr with my 10 inch android stereo receiver.

The base unit, ATU, Second dual fuses block with a crowbar circuit.

I made my own shielded 6g wire by wrapping aluminum around the +cable and grounding it to the (-) side and after the fuse. I have zero engine noise. No injectors or alternator noise. 4 30amp fuses. yes 4. two different types with a set of quick blow at the radio. I chose 30amp because with the power mod; at times I peaked 25amps. So on normal everyday use, the power is turned down to about 75%. But I get a solid 80w.

I will be adding an RF quiet Buckup converter to 13.8.

The seat rack lets me un-clip it to take out for POTA.

This spring I will be adding my G-90 with an antenna switch. The head will go in the other cup holder with the base on the rack.

The only down side so far will be head removal. I will need to by extra link cables. I see how it goes this spring.
