Oh, but it will be SO worth it once you get that ticket.

You will get there if you keep trying even if you dont get it the first time. I have heard of people taking it multiple times. Just dont get discouraged and keep trying.

One thing in your favor is that you don’t have to take a CW test. When I went downtown to the FCC office in Chicago many years ago to take my General/Advanced test, all the CW I ever knew fell out of my head. Back then, you had to copy a minute perfectly out of five minutes of random characters. I passed on my second attempt. The moral of the story - you can do it!

Upgrading to general is the most rewarding upgrade. Lots more you can do. Extra is a lot of work, but you don’t really notice the difference once you get it.

Agree - it took me decades to get to Extra. What stopped me for so long was that jump from 13 WPM CW to 20 WPM. I just never got there!

Definitely look at ‘spaced repitition’ technique. It’s perfect for this type of test.

You go straight to the MCQs and look at answers. Use hamstudy as it tells /teaches you the explanation. Slam MCQs straight. Every day do 1.5 h new qs and .5 h old mix. And in 1 week you’ll get it.
