Today, I joined the WRL. In December 2023, I received my Technician Ticket 2 weeks before my 73rd birthday. Then in January, I completed my General, for the last few weeks, I’ve been prepping for Extra. Most of my contacts have been through Echolink. In my “shack” have have 3 HT–Tidrdio H-6, Baofeng Bf-F8HP, and Anytone 878UVII plus. To date, I’ve not made contacts with the Anytone, but I did finally program it, and my next step is to get with an Elmer to make sure I did everything correctly in that programming. In my pickup, I have a Wouxun KG-UV980P, with a lip mounted Diamond CR8900 antenna.
