You gotta admit that one of the coolest things in ham radio is working the International Space Station, whether it’s the Americans or Russians. I’ve done it twice, while mobile in Iowa and Minnesota. It’s always a fun contact!

I’ve listened to them work the Boy Scouts at a Jamboree and I have sent an APRS packet through the ISS repeater. I also just downloaded a bunch of the SSTV from the transmissions they did just before New Years.

I’ve been trying to work the ISS for the last month or so but it seems like the only times it’s overhead is during their sleeping hours (according to Google). Any advice? I’m in Montana btw.
