I’ve really enjoyed using WRL. I also really like the band conditions tab on the mobile app. I was wondering if would be possible to add some form of a ham clock? There’s an app you can download, but it would be much more convenient to have on the WRL. Keep up the great work! Rob
@KA2P Hey Rob
We can certainly look into something similar but I dont think it would be possible to add hamclock itself since it is its own app and made to run per callsign. What are some of the features your referring to that you would like to see added?

The biggest one for me would be UTC time, local time, and maybe the grid square number. Right now when I do POTA or anything mobile I have to bring a clock set on UTC time so I can log the times of my contacts. Or maybe just put the UTC time somewhere on the page so as we’re logging we can see it. Thanks for your reply.
@KA2P Hey Rob,
So the whole WRL app (web app and mobile - and soon to be desktop app) are all using UTC across the board and it shows in the time field (see screenshot of the mobile app) but with that said, there might be space to add a time section next to the ‘band conditions’ and potentially what gridsquare your currently in based on GPS location. I’ll talk to the team and see what they think about it though for sure.

Same for me: UTC + local time.

Thanks Brad, it was just an idea. 99% of the time when i do POTA I use pen and paper to log and put it in the computer when I get home. Unfortunately, most of the POTA sites around me have no cell or Wi-Fi service. Again, I really like everything you all are doing so keep up the good work.
@KA2P Makes total sense. Just in case you weren’t aware our mobile app works offline and will sync your contacts when you get back to an internet connection. We are also working on moving the mobile app to a completely offline first approach still with the sync functionality. However with that said though we’ve been floating an idea of working on some functionality to allow ppl to scan paper logs and have them import into your log too…soooo there’s that Just an idea atm but could come to fruition.
