I have a logbook for HF operations using my IC-7610. I created a Satellite Ops logbook that I want to “link” to my IC-9700. How do I add another radio and link it to a logbook?

73s,
I’m also not a Free Member anymore, but for some reason this BBS states that I am.
BBS… wow, haven’t seen that term used in a while. ![]()

@KA5UTN I’ve fixed the display beside your callsign in the community chat. Currently you can only assign one radio to your logbook.
Thanks for the member fix. As for one radio per logbook, I understand that.
I have an HF logbook connected to my IC-7610. I created a new logbook called Satellite Operations and I want to link my IC-9700 to that logbook, but the only radio available is my 7610 HF radio.
How do I add my IC-9700 VHF/UHF to the new logbook I created?
73s,
It was shorter to type that than WRL Community Chat .
73s,
You just need to go into your profile on the web app and click on the “my station” button and add a new radio. Then once it’s created just go into your logbook and go to logbook settings and then click the “equipment” button at the top and select the new radio you added. Now this doesn’t really serve any purpose other than for you to know that the contacts in this particular logbook were made using X radio and Antenna. You can use the filter opens in the qso manager to filter by equipment as well as the qso map to filter by antenna or radio too but this doesn’t have any bearing on a physical connection to the radio. That’s all done via cat control.
I’m sure down the line we can add the ability to assign more than one radio or antenna to a logbook though (to answer your first question).
Once everything is setup on the web app it will all sync to the desktop app.
I hope this makes sense and at least somewhat helps
Thanks & 73
