Hey, WRL friends. I completed a POTA activation this morning and transferred my paper log to a logbook on WRL. I exported the ADIF file, but when I uploaded that to the POTA site, it failed, giving me an “unknown failure.”
I gave it a couple of tries, using both options of “Export ADIF” and “Export ADIF US-3024.” Neither worked.
Wondering if it was at my end, I entered all 67 QSOs into HAMRS and tried again. This time, POTA accepted the ADIF file without trouble.
Please let me know if I’m missing a step or doing something incorrect before I attempt to export the file.
Hey Lance @W9DAE thank you so much for letting us know about this issue!! So sorry for the failure here. We’re investigating your log right way and will let you know as soon as this is fixed!
@W9DAE Absolutely! Okay, so it looks here like all your 20m contacts are missing a frequency. One contact is missing frequency and band. Did you enter these contacts before or after you entered the 15m contacts?
My only experience is with HAMRS, which doesn’t require me to enter the frequency. I’ve always input the band but never bothered with the frequency, since POTA doesn’t ask for it.
I will make sure to fill in all the details next time I use the WRL app.
Perfect! Thank you for reaching out! We do have a mobile app with offline functionality if you ever want to try using that in the field. It syncs to the cloud once your back online and you can then export your POTA ADIF from the web app!
Feel free to send us any more feedback or feature requests!
