Desktop CAT Control - the ability to stream contacts from WSJTX

I understand that there are two versions of the CAT Control functionality - Desktop/“integrations” and the stand-alone app. It seems the stand-alone version has two functions within it. 1)CAT control and 2)“auto-logging”/streaming from WSJTX. However, the Desktop version seems to have only CAT Control. Is this correct or am I missing something? If this is correct, do you plan on adding the streaming from WSJTX to the desktop version?
In other words, if I’m running WSJTX and I want to have my QSO’s automatically logged in my WRL log book, can I do that within the desktop CAT Control area (“integrations”)?

Hi @KZ8Z yes you are correct!

A little history here that will explain this:

  • The WRL Integrations app was released first, and it has CAT control that connects when using web logging, and WSJT-X Integration.
  • Then, we released the Desktop App, which is a standalone logging app with CAT Control. CAT control works better here because it is directly installed on your device

We are planning to also add the WSJT-x integration to the desktop app very soon!!
