Digital from home no antenna

Hi all,

I have a Xiegu G-90
I just wanted information on:

  1. I live in an apt. building that is federally regulated. No antennas. No HOA stealth/gutter antennas allowed. The building is brick backed by chicken wire mesh. On Ground floor. I can not even get scanner signals through the window.
    Is there a way to Hunt contacts over the net? Without an antenna, or am I just stuck with mobile.

  2. If so, which, FT8 or ?

My first option would be to move out of there LOL. If there is no possibility of mounting an antenna, the only options I see are: Make mobile contacts (whether on HF, VHF, etc.) or rent a station remotely.

Hmmm, first thoughts is a copper tape jpole stuck on or outside a window for VHF/UHF.
OR…. A magnetic loop next to a window.

Do you have a balcony?

Wow what other information on parts. Like learn more. Important plan. Can you share with us a picture? Would it be safe ?

This is an old topic but how about operating remotely? There is a free option RemoteHams.com and a paid version Remote Ham Radio.

I have a small lot at my current QTH and couldn’t get permission for an antenna. But I put up an off-center dipole anyway and did OK with it. But the location also, for some reason, has a high noise level. So, I just decided, until we relocate, to go 100% remote.
