Hello all. I just joined the community and am currently studying for my technician’s license as well as looking into my first radio(s). I retired a couple of years ago and, now that I have my house just the way I like, I figured it was time to find a hobby. I suppose I read too many books about SHTF and have often wondered what would happen if the cell network failed. I am enjoying learning about radios and frequencies as well as the rules and regulations governing their use. Looking forward to talking to some of you at some point. Happy 2024 everyone!
