Update: We have swapped to another API, CallSign search is back up and running! Permanent fix of building our own callsign database is still in progress and should be complete within 1-2 weeks tops.
Hello everyone - HamDB is currently down, which is what we are using for callsign lookups today.
We have been working in the background on building our own database of callsigns. @N4ML has been looking to see if we can do an emergency deploy of this.
The permanent solution to avoid any outages like this will be our own callsign database.
In the meantime, we apologize for the inconvenience caused by the outage, and your callsign search capabilities will be limited.
We pushed a hotfix API swap, and callsign lookup functionality has returned. We are monitoring performance, and looking at longer term fixes. Thanks for standing by!
Actually, we found another API for the meantime (credit to @N4ML here). We ALMOST made a hotfix to our own database. We’re still not that far off though. Probably next week will be good for switching to our own database, and then we’ll continue to add more advanced logic and additional countries.
